Have you ever walked into a room, caught a whiff of a scent, and instantly felt like you knew exactly what kind of person lived there?

We’ve all done it. Fragrance is so much more than just spraying something on your wrist before you walk out the door. It’s woven into the spaces we design, the tiny daily rituals we look forward to, and the specific energy we bring into a room.

That’s exactly why I wanted to create The Fragrance Guide.

Think of this series as a collection of different mood boards and personalities, translated entirely through scent, home aesthetics, and lifestyle.

To be completely clear: these aren't rigid personality tests, they aren’t labels, and they are definitely not rules. There are no right or wrong answers here. They are simply interpretations of different aesthetics and the sensory worlds people build around themselves.

We’re going to dive into all kinds of vibes:

• Would the Corporate Powerhouse go for something loud and commanding, or something quietly confident that leaves people wondering what they’re wearing?

• Does the Hopeless Romantic actually fill their space with soft florals, or are they secretly drawn to warm, moody amber?

• Does the Quiet Thinker really just want to sit in a room that smells like old books, rich incense, and deep woody notes? (Spoiler: usually, yes).

Throughout this series, we’re going to explore a mix of distinct personalities. We’ll break down everything they might gravitate toward—from luxury perfumes and traditional, deep-rooted attars to essential oil blends and home diffusers.

We’re mapping out the whole sensory experience, from the exact scent of their living room on a rainy evening to the fragrance they wear on a slow Sunday morning spent planning the week ahead.

Maybe you’ll read one of these posts and think, "Oh wow, this is literally me." Or maybe you'll find a vibe that inspires you to completely change up your space.
